Obviously you risk people lives, due to fire happening.
If that you are caught risking people's lives; and even worse caught allowing someone's death... I am assuming that you could be some serious trouble.
Why are you considering not obeying them? If so, your obviously a nutter.

Context matters.
If they order you to correct violations of fire code, your building could be condemned and demolished.
If they order you to leave the area during an emergency, you could spend time behind bars.

Interference with any emergency worker is illegal in my state. It applies to any police, medical, or fire personnel on official business. It can be a misdemeanor or a felony, depending on circumstances.

You won't be able to have any more fires.
