What the hell is wrong with Yahoo Answers?

It seems some categories are frozen in time and haven't had a new question asked in several hours, why is that?

Glitches "the hell" hit the site now and then (in addition to the longstanding ones). Patience is needed to use YA (and that's been the case for years). No one here can usually explain an issue as you described. The users don't have special insight as to why the site might appear frozen in time. Users just have to wait until the site becomes active again.

Make sure you are in the "Answer" questions and not the ""Discover" questions. "Discover" is the default setting for all of YA. Even so, in some of the science and health subcategories there can be 2 to 4 days and sometimes longer. Yesterday YA seemed to be dead for hours except in Politics, and politics was 98% spam or fish and bait or rant statements.

There are new questions being asked, but they're also being reported and removed.

Fewer Questions are being Asked these days so I dont think its Frozen so much as not as many people are Asking Questions
