Why did he not want my offer?

It was snowing and my BF's cousin (who lives with us) came to me and said "there's no buses to work". I then offered to drive him but then he said "should I take Uber instead?". Why would he even told me there's no buses then?

Maybe he felt uncomfortable being alone in a car with his cousin’s girlfriend. Possibly a bro-code type of thing. Or maybe he doesn’t know you well enough. I’m unaware of your guys’s relationship
