neck gaiter or scarf?

Scarf for a night out, a neck gaiter for outdoor sports like hunting, fishing, trekking, snow shoeing

They do have the same purpose, but I personally like the neck warmers better because you just put it over your neck and that's it. A scarf, yes you wrap it around your neck but it always tends to fall off especially if it's windy out.
