from your mistakes. It means that you have experienced something that you NEVER want to go through again, so you avoid those events. You learn from your mistakes.

Something that happens to you that changes your life in some significant way.  For example, car accident and you become paralyzed, that's life changing.  For example, 100 million dollars that's life changing.  For example, Born blind then suddenly for some reason you get your vision back, that's life changing.  Your child gets severely sick, but then comes back to life for reasons unexplainable, that's life changing.  Having an effect that's strong enough to change someone's life

You're kidding, right?  Life-changing means that--it changes your life. Isn't this obvious? Major life changes include divorces, marriages, deaths, births, and so forth.

Never heard anyone say the statement life-changing 'CHANGE.'

    You'd more likely hear:

    - Life-changing event

    - Life-changing moment

    - Life-changing revelation

    - Life-changing occurrence

    Or when something dramatic happened,

    say that "It was life-changing"

    (without another word behind it)

It's "life-changing experiences" and it means just what it says.

A life changing change would be one where your life is profoundly altered. It could be anything from winning a powerball lottery and finding you have millions of dollars and never need to worry about money for the rest of your life, to a devistating house fire that kills your four children.

Imagine an life-changing injury from a car accident, where a person loses one of their legs,  and needs to adapt to life without it.

A lack of facility with the language?  life-changing means things that cause changes having an impact on the way the rest of the individual's life will progress.  It goes without need for repetition that they are changes.  That is the entire reason for using the word "changing" in the adjective.  Life-changing events, though? Sure, that makes sense.
