With a little common sense, one only has to look somehing up on you tube and see how to do it.

No, not at all. Simply read how to do things properly by using the right materials and follow directions. Some things are easier than others, depending on your skill level and desire to learn.
I am no professional, but I have successfully:
*Regraded my driveway, added stone and edged it with Belgian block.
*I have done dry wall repair using compound.
*I restored a rotted window frame using wood harder and wood filler
*I have primed and painted ceilings, walls, exterior siding, windows and furniture.
*I have laid sheet vinyl, kitchen tiles and wood floors.
*I have waterproofed decks.
*I wallpaper.
*I have put up ceiling tiles.
*I have laid a flagstone walkway.
*I laid a slate floor in my breezeway.
*I have changed light fixtures
*I have painted interior steps and laid a stair runner.
*I have built retaining walls.
And, I am female. Not bad, if I say so myself! Where there is a will, there is a way!

Do you know what the letters stand for? DIY means DO IT YOURSELF. That means you aren't a professional.

No one is going to be a professional at every aspect of DIY, so no, you don't.

No, but if you have to ask, YOU need someone to TEACH you how to do anything right.
