Are they not the same thing? And no, they need cooking.

I'm not a fan, I'm afraid.  They are usually best eaten cooked though.

They're good cooked, but not so much raw.

I really am not a fan of them, other than when they are made inot fries, but I would assume they would be ok to eat raw as well as cooked.

Both are too difficult to chew when raw.

I like them very much when cooked but I have never tried them raw.

Sweet potatoes are sweet hence the name sweet potatoes.   I have 

seen people eat them raw but I never have. I will try it next time

I buy them.
