Can atherosclerosis lead to hypertension?
I am told that only atherosclerosis in Renal (Kidney) Arteries can cause hypertension. Is that true ? Can someone get hypertension from atherosclerosis in the leg for example (peripheral arterial disease) ?
Please tell me where you got your source like what scientific article . Thanks

in the kidney, narrowing of the artery (a plaque) causes the release of the renin-angiotension axis which increases blood pressure.
