Is it possible for a guy to be uncircumcised and jewish?

My mom is jewish and so is my dad. We celebrate all of the important dates but aren’t too hardcore. My mom thinks circumcision is child abuse and cruel so she didn’t get me done.

I just read on the net that a man cannot be jewish and uncircumcised. Help?!?

It depends. There are many levels of Judaism. Circumcision is a requirement for Orthodox  Jews. But not for Reform Jews.

OK. So.... money plus doctor plus anesthesia means you don't have to drink a bunch of scotch and bite a belt while a mohel cuts off your foreskin. It doesn't have to be a scene from Jewish Rambo. Just go to a doctor.

I mean, if it's so important to you.

OR seek out those voices that say it's NOT that important. Go look for 'soft core Jews'.
