Would you agree that Gorsuch and Kavanaugh turned out to be genuine moderates/swing votes on the Supreme Court?

Gorsuch authored the landmark LGBT ruling (6-3 vote).

Kavanaugh allowed a class action anti-trust lawsuit move forward against Apple (5-4 vote).

Kavanaugh also upheld a key part of the Clean Water Act to make it cover not just the specified waters, but the navigable waters that lead to it. (6-3 vote).

According to a review of the voting in cases since 2015, Liberal to Conservative:

SSotomayor , RBGinsburg, EKagan, SGBreyer, AMKennedy, JGRoberts, BMKavanaugh, NMGorsuch, AScalia, SAAlito, CThomas

The court as a whole has leaned a hair liberal since 2015, just off center.

Subtracting Ginsberg and replacing with Barrett shifts the court to lean conservative but also makes the mix 6 Conservative and 3 Liberal unless Roberts purposely tries to rebalance with shifting his decisions. Gorsuch and Kavanaugh have both veered from more conservative towards centrist as they stay on the job. Still, right of Center.

The issue is hearings and confirmation in a Presidential election year in a complete reversal of repeated Republican Senator statements in 2016.

They now state the process is TOTALLY POLITICAL giving carte blanche to Democrats if they gain control in for 2021. This is a very stupid move to declare themselves lying hypocrites and per Lindsay Graham, his 2016 words are marked.

Not so much "moderate" just thankfully ball-less at the right times, thank gawd.

Even they know their actual conservatism is not that popular..

I would agree that almost all of the opposition against them has been proven to be pure partisan stoogery and that the grounds for their nomination was actually sound...

.....but I wonder if anyone will actually learn anything from that....

And yet leftists have gone off the deep end, insisting SCOTUS is so mired in the right that they need to add new justices.

Yes, in spite of all the Democrat tears shed over this they have interpreted the law in a very fair and thoughtful manner. They are not carrying the flag of either team, as it should be.
