Should 16 and 17 year olds be allowed to get CDLs to allow them to drive trucks and buses?

The minimum age is 18.

No, because letting such inexperienced drivers drive a giant death machine is stupid. Risky enough with regular cars. Besides... they should still be in frigging school.

Being able to get the license at 18 however doesn't mean a person can automatically do the job. Supposedly they are considering lowering it, but right now a person has to be 21 if, like a lot of truck driving, it requires driving across state lines.

No, they are too young to be held legally responsible for simple liability at 16 and 17. You don't become legally fully responsible until the age of 18.

Hell no, if anything it should be raised to 25.

yeah sure--start the boys out early, picking up ladies and killing them on highways after sex.
