    NO!

    Here's how:

    (1) When people heard of Christ;

    (2) They believed;

    (3) They repented of their sins;

    (4) They confessed Christ to be the Son of God, and

    (5) They were baptized for the remission of their sins.

         This is called, "being born-again!"

    Just be a good person, in your heart, this is what GOD looks at the hearts of man.  be generous and loving even to people you perceive as enemies this is the only law you need to follow.  Jesus warned not to follow the teachings of man by people in robes (priests, vicars, the pope) but to look for the truth.

    Too bad the HIGHER POWER OF THE (insert your state here) penal code doesn’t see it that way.

    You are saved after you are punished, rehabilitated and paroled....

    Paid your debt to society and proven you can live in it again.

    It would seem the god of judeo Christian mythology was weak on crime.

    Considering only 2/10 commandments actually deal with actual crimes as opposed to self serving pathetic demands of loyalty only to stroke an egomaniacal Fictional characters ego.

    To be saved from judgment you mean?

    1Cor 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

    1Cor 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

    Believe this and you are saved.  Don't believe and you will spend eternity in the lake of fire.  It is just that simple.

    Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

    Believing in God and not living as though you believe in God is worse than simply being ignorant of His existence.

    Hardly.  The devil believes.  You think you'll see him in heaven??

    "Love thy neighbor as thyself" is the ONLY requirement.

    Repentance precedes the faith that God gives.

    Faith is only required for salvation from sin,  to eliminate works necessarily tainted with sin.
