    It will depend on the animal, the efficiency of the method and the expertise of the person doing it. The most humane will be the one that does it the quickest and gives the animal little to no pre-warning.

    Depends on the size and species of the animal. For smaller ones like rabbits, ducks and chickens, cervical dislocation is considered to be humane. For larger animals, captive pneumatic bolt to the brain is fairly standard. It knocks them out and destroys the brain at the same time. Lacking that, a well placed .22LR, well placed in the brain is quick and painless.
