Some students were measuring the volume of a cube-shaped wooden block.

They measured the length to be 5.08 cm, the width to be 5.09 cm,

and the height to be 5.10 cm.

The measured volume of the block is (5.08)(5.09)(5.10) = 131.87172 cm^3

The actual volume of the block is 15.3 cm^3.

What is the percent error?

5.08*5.09*5.10= 131.87172 cm^3

Check your numbers because it appears the actual volume number is wrong. Is it 125.3 cm^3?

131.87172/125.3≈ 1.0524

percent error= 5.24%
