Does bug spray need direct impact to kill cockroaches or you can spray it in an area and they will die? ?

Harris Roach Tablets have always worked for us, and they don't need to be any roaches in sight when you put them down.  It doesn't have the instant gratification of killing a roach directly, but in a few days, the roaches will decline and disappear.  That is unless they're coming from some external food source like a neighboring apartment.

I have always found that they are so tough that a direct hit from an aerosol spray is needed. However, fumigation and "bombs" are stronger and will kill from airborne vapour.

it might depend on what kind of bug spray it is
