The Beatles - Let It Be lyrics meaning?

Who's Mother Mary? The mother of jesus? Did she say let it be somewhere like in the bible? And what does the following mean? "For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see". Also does this song speak in two senses? When it says, "there will be an answer, let it be". Is the answer to let it be or something we have yet to discover?

As LadyMerton said, it's about his mother whose name was Mary. The following explanation comes from Wikipedia:

"McCartney said he had the idea of "Let It Be" after he had a dream about his mother during the tense period surrounding the sessions for The Beatles ("the White Album") in 1968.[2] Mary Patricia McCartney died of cancer in 1956, when he was fourteen.[2][3] In rehearsing the song with the Beatles in January 1969, in place of the "Mother Mary" lyric, McCartney occasionally sang "Brother Malcolm", a reference to the Beatles' assistant Mal Evans.[4] McCartney later said: "It was great to visit with her again. I felt very blessed to have that dream. So that got me writing 'Let It Be'."[5][6] In a later interview he said about the dream that his mother had told him, "It will be all right, just let it be."[7] When asked if the phrase "Mother Mary" in the song referred to the Mother of Jesus, McCartney has typically replied that listeners can interpret the song however they like.[8] Indeed, others have interpreted the phrase biblically.[8]"

Paul grew up Catholic, so yes, Mother Mary is the Virgin Mary. Mary is voiceless in the Bible.  Song lyrics are compressed. The oneswho are parted are those separated by hate - but they might find Love yet. Let it be (let it happen).
