    19 = 2w + 2L   (or 2L = 19 - 2W)

    and 62 = 6w + 8L  Substitute for L

    62 = 6w + 4 (19 - 2w)

    62 = 6w + 76 - 8W

    14 = 2w, W = 7 (Answer)

    (orig rectangle is 2.5 long x 7 wide,

    enlarged rectangle is 10 x 21)

    Assuming that you mean 62 cm, the width is 7 cm.

    2(7) + 2(2.5) = 19

    2(3)(7) + 2(4)(2.5) = 62

    You’re welcome.
