If you really do your research, you begin to realize that nobody actually knew a Jesus. What we had were some Jews worried about other Jews rebelling against the Roman Empire and looking for that promised Messiah to come and save them. That is why the words of Paul and the supposed words of Jesus make it sound like the end was going to be any day because tensions were rising between the Jews and the Roman Empire. The Jews finally rebelled in 66a.d. and the Roman Empire destroyed Jerusalem and their second temple in 70a.d.. While the Christian cult began before that destruction, it took years to build it up and finally it took Constantine to replace the Empires pagan religion of Mithrism with Christianity for political reasons in 325a.d.. Eventually the Empire fell but before it did, it was a melting pot of a lot of different cultures and religions. Over time, the Christians either died off or moved to other regions and spreading the religion around the world.

John 3:16) “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.

God cast them off as his people because they did not accept their son and his ransom saccrifice.

At one point the majority religion of that area was Christian.  After the Jews were driven from the land following the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD, and until it was taken over by the Muslims in the 6th century.

After that, it pretty much remain in Muslims control (except for some brief periods during a couple of the Crusades) and after World War ii, when the British (who had taken it as colony) opened it up for Jews to return.  Since then the Jews have become the major population group in the area.

It is considered to be a Holy Land by Jews, Christians, and Muslims.  All three have held it at different times over the centuries.

Some Jewish people do believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.  And like all people groups, some unfortunately don't.  Here is the truth: The Lord Jesus Christ is God. Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell. The truth is that death leads to immediate heaven or hell, depending only on whether the person believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, or not. The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell.

Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ means being forgiven all sins past and future and means going to heaven. The truth is that every belief except one will lead to eternal torment in the lake of fire for every person. Because nothing pays for our sins except the death and blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus that is already accomplished by Him . Jesus loves you! The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ is God, and Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus was buried, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works, not deeds, not religions. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing on Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven

There are lots of people in Israel who are Christians... and Muslims... and atheists... and Jews. That land is little different to most other lands where there is a great mixture of different beliefs, and non-belief. The land is not 'holy'. Fools fight over it, as if it were. Christians know that Jesus is King of a heavenly Kingdom and that they are ambassadors who do not get involved in the world's carnality and politicking. They are citizens of Heaven. Christians are found in every nation, even in countries that persecute them horribly. The good news about Jesus has gone global.

There are Christians Jews and Muslims there, as they all have the root of their religion there.  They are all Abrahamic religions.

The Roman Government used Theophilus, Luke, and Paul, to establish the COUNTERFEIT church of Paulism/Romanism which later became Catholicism and other denominations.

Jesus was a Jew.  His followers became Christians, many years and travels (to other countries) much, much later.
