    The dimensions are: length = 32 and width = 13

    Check: 2(32+13) = 90

    The length of a rectangle is 6 more than 2 times the width.

    l = 2w + 6

    the perimeter is 90

    2l + 2w = 90

    Substitute for l

    2(2w + 6) + 2w = 90

    (4w + 12) + 2w  = 90

    Combine like terms

    6w + 12 = 90

    Subtract 12 from both sides

    6w = 78

    Divide both sides by 6

    w = 13 <–––––––

    l = 2(13) + 6

    l = 32 <––––––

    Width is 13, length is 32.

    26 + 64 = 90
