Yahoo wants to have an unchallenged platform to launch their propaganda stories and articles in order to exert more influence on the next election. Once the election is over, yahoo will decide to put comments back into news and answers sites. Here is an example of a story they didn't run, to my knowledge.

    Why would they do that?

They have a Narrative to protect.

In an honest dialogue, you don't "Cancel" lies, you refute them.  The only thing that ever needs to be "Cancelled", is Truth, simply because it cannot be refuted.

Oh, snowflake! Have you been triggered?

You have no right to comment on stories, or even read or view stories on Yahoo! It’s a privately owned site which isn’t accountable to you. If you don’t like its stories, get your biased news elsewhere.

There is no such thing as ‘cancel culture’ - just idiots who think they have the right to be heard on every platform and scream “cancel culture” and cry when people don’t want to listen to their rantings.

Still, you’ll prefer to listen to the mad conspiracy theories of your moron mates on here. You’ll probably block me, insist there is a ‘cancel culture’ and fail to see the irony.

Given that it's an effort to unduly influence the outcome of the November election in favour of Democrats you can expect the commenting feature to return after the election.   Until then we'll have to stomach their left wing corporate biased garbage without recourse.

Not until after the election at the earliest. Yahoo cannot allow any dissenting opinions about its coverage. At least Yahoo is being honest in its intent and will no longer simply remove all comments that go against their Liberal narrative.
