How severe is this?

My grandfather is 80 years old and he underwent a coronary bypass surgery last month. He seemed to be recovering well, and then suddenly he started having trouble breathing. They took him to the hospital and did tests and they said that he has "pulmonary edema resulting from cardiac insufficiency". They did surgery last week and placed 7 stents in his heart along with a balloon pump. He has been in a coma for 6 days now and his heart is still failing. The doctors say that he needs another coronary bypass but he wont be strong enough to live through it. Does anyone have any idea as to how much longer he will live?
