did the value of the dollar go up in 1929 depression ?

prices went down so I am assuming since prices go up in inflation due to devaluation of the currency, deflation id the opposite, instead of devaluation, currency becomes more valuable

It was tight money regulation and no QE at that time. The fund rate was still high, and so was the dollar. It was only the fiscal policy that has fixed the economy. And it took almost 6 years.
