The dems wanted to stall unemployment benefits. Trump steps in and sets them straight. Was this a brilliant move? The left will still cry!?

It could've have been any more perfect. The president's order helps working Americans, it helps non working Americans, and now the democrats will have to fight against it. In normal times it would be used as leverage for congress to get an actual bill passed but we know democrats refuse to negotiate on anything these days.

It was a masterstroke of genius! Pelosi, Schumer and all those slimy democrat candidates up for reelection will have to go back to their constituents with nothing to show - particularly those freshmen congressmen and women in districts that voted Trump in 2016! What do they have to show for their 1st two years? Zero accomplishments.

sounds like it was a brilliant move

it is obvious that Americans cannot read because if they could , they would have read that the democrats wanted to extend the payments well into the new year because they know for a fact that unemployment will last another 12 months and the hold up was the republicans only wanting it for a few months --but the republicans are very good at lies and the blame game

Trump acted like the buffoon that he is and is trying to force Governors, even your kooky right wing governors to accept invoices that they cannot pay. Brilliant? I don't think Trump has done anything brilliant in his entire life.

And when people find out Trump reduced their benefits by $800 less per month Donnie and Republicans will get the blame.
