Why did Satan rebel in Heaven and take 1/3 of the angels with him?

Did they get casted down to hell or earth? Why did they rebel for what did they want?

Pride. The same Sin Atheists are always guilty of when refusing to bow to Christ.

    Sin drives on against reason.

Do we not all know this?

Have we never done something because we wanted to knowing it is wrong and unwise?

Satan's glory overspilled into pride. Don't we all know how pride blinds from the weak minded posts by the Atheists on this section? And how pride lusts with self aggrandisement?

Come now, these things are self evident, easy to see.

Irrelevant, since it is a work of fiction.

    Thanks for a great question

God created him with great beauty and gave him a lot of authority towards the other angels. All this soon went to his head and he began seeking worship from the other angels in competition with God. So God cast him from heaven and he fell to earth in Eden where he caused the downfall of Adam and Eve.

A few thousand earth years later, Satan assaulted heaven with the aid of a third of all the angels that sided with Satan. Michael and his angels repelled them, and they all fell back to earth. Satan gave them positions of authority and wealth in his own earthly kingdom, the Roman Empire. They possessed willing and available human bodies, such as the Roman emperors. Thats what this means:

Ephesians 6:11-12 KJV — Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. >>>>> For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

He had been the Bright Star of Morning and the Angel that Covereth and the best beloved of God. He was rebellious and covetous and sought to destroy Mankind. So in chapter 6 of Genesis he led 1/3 of the Angels to Fall and sin by raping the daughters of Men and fathering the Nephilim Giants. Thus Lucifer became Satan and was cast into the Pit beneath Abbadon which is in Iraq and where the molten magma beneath Earth's crust is called the Lake of Fire. The Giant Nefilim offspring split their human mothers open at birth and became a giant race which survived the Flood and became the Moabites though some such as Goliath dwelt in Philistia. When David conquered Moab, he could identify which Moabites had Giant DNA, even when they were man sized, because he had some Giant DNA from his great grandmother Ruth the Moabitess. He extinguished the rest of the lineage.

@ Pirate AM, Thanks for the laugh, and I do agree.

@adadsad, they must have become bored with all of that mushy praying and waiting on that god thingie to do what tf he said he could do.  So it seems that they came to earth to start their own gig.  LMAO!  They surely did not leave because of the comfort, great food and wine and never having to work. LOL!

They became jealous of man. Because God seen man better than angels. Satan still today roams heaven and earth. He has not been placed it the pit. Some say it was the women that brought down the angels from Heaven.

    Pride.

They were cast down to Earth, of course.

Satan tried to replace God and destroy the agency of man.

Yes if you lived under a perfect being in a seemingly perfect paradise, why all the rebellion? Perhaps things are not as great under such a "benevolent" dictator as we are led to believe.
