How do 18 year olds travel to nyc alone if all hotels require you to be 21?

    They don't.  That's the point.  They don't want teenagers alone in their hotels.

    And I answered your other question and gave you a link to one nice hotel that DOES allow you to check in at 18.  There are others - you just have to do the work and look for them.  You'll hear a lot of people say there are none, but there are - just very few.

    They don't. That's the point of not renting to 18 year olds. Hotels got tired of teens trashing their rooms. Look for a youth hostel or an AirB&B.

    All hotels don't require you to be 21.

    The issue right now is that many hotels in New York are closed due to Covid-19.

    Who said they will plan on renting a hotel room at NYC? Don't you think they'll be staying with a friend or family member?
