If i want to use(US)to refer to the country,instead of(us)which refers to atleast 2 people or more,how should i type it out,as above or diff?

    Put in capitals. It is usually clear from the context. 

    The US  has done nothing for us.

    You would not use capitals for a pronoun, unless first person singular.

    Caps for the country, caps for talking about people, you have it correct.
