Is China to blame for the coronavirus?

No. It was caused by people traveling to China.

Well, like it or not, China did try to cover up that this virus originated there, the world was lead to believe it came from poor food handling practices, then it was said the virus excaped from a lab by a worker there. The WHO sent out a tweet on January 14th stating that after an investigation, they found that the virus was not spread from human to human.

So, it appears that a cover up took place, wasting valuable information and time for the world to prepare for the subsequent pandemic.

It is no secret that the Chinese Regime is self absorbed and will take any measure to gain strength. Even if that means there will be a death toll   !!

A lot say yes and some say no. But my answer is not at all.

This is a meaningless question, the virus will overflow all around the world any way, no matter how hard to stop it, people should focus on how to cure it ,not rush to find a scapegoat.

Most Canadians who had corona in the first months caught it from infected Americans/visiting the USA... less than zero to do with China.

The border is still closed until as our Health Minister suggests the USA gets its act together.

From January 15 until April 16, most people returning with COVID-19 to Ontario and Quebec came from the United States, not China. Canada began screening passengers returning from China in third week of January but did not close the border with the United States until two months later.

Make sure you wash your hands after all that finger pointing  :)

I dont think you can "blame" anyone for a virus particularly unless they knowingly created and knowingly released it. These mutations happen, and we have had viruses mutate all over the world.

No, they aren't. The virus is naturally occurring.

Yes  and they have  another  one that they  arent  telling the  world  about  as  well. There is a swine  flu that is  affecting their  pig  farms and  11% of Pig  farm  workers  are  already  testing  positive  to this  swine  flu. That means that it  readily  crosses  over  from  pigs  to  humans.

China had only 27 strange pneumonia cases when they moved to investigate. The same small number of cases may have happened earlier in some third world country and were simply treated as the flu. Many elderly people die from the flu every year.

It was China's decision to investigate, discover what to test for and announce it, knowing they'll take the blame. The virus spread so fast that if China didn't have medical knowledge and technology, the Italian scientists would have been the first to discover the new Veneto virus.

We'll have more pandemics in the future. With all the international air travel, diseases make their way across the globe in a matter of hours. The countries most advanced in epidemiology will be the first to identify a new disease.
