is a 3.8 GPA for grad school good or bad?

I know its good for an undergrad, but im told grad school has higher expectations.

3.0 is the minimum passing grade in graduate school, and you are much closer to the maximum of 4.0 than you are to the minimum.

That's still very good for graduate school.

Many graduate programs essentially consider a C to be a failing grade.  So Bs aren't really that great, and As are the expectation.  A 3.8 suggests that you have mostly As with maybe a B or two mixed in.  That's very good.

Yes, for a grad student, that's good.
