My car sounds like a sea lion whenever I push hard on the brakes?

    Mine sounds more like a dog. Well it is a Rover.

    Well, there is a possibility that it's the worn-out brake pads that make your brakes sound like a sea-lion. I think you should check them in the first place.

    Most likely your brake pads are low.Β  Take off the tire and look at them.Β  If they're too thin, replace them.Β  If they're REALLY thin, that can cause the sound you are describing, and it can damage the rotors too.

    check how much brake pads you have left, the wear finger on the pad touching the disk.
