Can a wav file be converted to a flac? Any compression issues from doing it?

    There won't be any compression if you use only lossless codecs.

    The simple answer is yes it can be converted..There should be no compression issues...The only down side might be that not all players will recognize or play FLAC files, so you might be limited in playback devices; while WAV is more universal so more players will recognize it..One plus to FLAC files though over WAV is you will be able to add more tagging information such as album cover art, music type etc....

    im sure, you just need the proper codec and an app that recognizes the codec .. that said, if i remember right thats a pretty outdated codec but i could wrong .. i'd just use mp3 and adjust the rate to get the size and quality you want ...
