Bug identifier?

I found a bug inside my bedroom and I have no idea what it is. I live in southeast Michigan, in an older apartment building from the 1980s.

It almost looks like a stink bug, but all black. Same body shape as a stink bug though. Sharp outer edges, smooth black exterior.

There are lots of different stink bugs, more than one genus, certainly.  Your bug is a stink bug.

That is the only thing that it looks like to me from my google search as well. The only thing is- I didn't stink when I sprayed it with bug spray and killed it. Do you still think it could be a stink bug??

It looks like a species or kind of Weevil  ,

If it is a Weevil they can infest pantries  , Google it for image

also since it was in my bedroom, not the pantry, do you think it still would be this kind of insect?
