is 4-year-old sedan car considered old?

I bought it since 2016 and it was brand new

In my mind a car is brand new for about 3 years after you buy it.  That is why people often suggest buying a 3 year old car for 1/2 the money.

I would not say that your 4 year old car was 'brand new', but it is a lot closer to 'brand new' than it is to 'old'

I have been keeping my cars for about 7 years, and at that age they are still good, but I get itchy feet for a new one.  The present car is 8 years old and I am content with it.

If it is, my 2012 is ancient. Note, I have no plans to get rid of mine for 7-10+ years.
