Is it no longer ok to use the term 'Coronavirus'?

I noticed elitists have transitioned over to Covid

    It's not elitist at all.  "Coronavirus" is the name of a fairly large group of viruses.  Covid (a.k.a. Covid 19) is a specific virus.  Since Covid 19 is the only virus running rampant worldwide at the moment, "covid" be in reference to Covid 19.  So it's not elitist, it's more liken to the common way people truncate everything, as caused by the use of cell phones.  e.g.  Hardly anybody says something like "nice person" anymore ... more so they use "nice per".  The English language, as we currently know it, is being diminished as we speak!

    The cause of the infection is the Coronavirus, the sickness it causes is COVID-19.  Sorry if this causes you confusion.
