do you think the illuminati is real?

Look up the Bavarian Illuminati, which was quite real - but for illuminati, not very bright. They tried to corner the Venetian market for silver and lost their shirts when their attempt failed miserably. This is a Renaissance-era group, by the way.
In modern times, the Illuminati make good movie, TV, and print novel villains..That's about all.

It was real at one time, but since it was a secret society no one knows if it really exists now.

No I don't. Because I'm older than twelve.
There are some nasty organizations in the world, and some of them are well funded by extremely rich people. Political parties are an excellent example, in fact.
But a secret evil empire of super-rich families, possibly controlled by giant space lizards, planning in the shadows to finally enslave us all? Nope. That stuff is pure childhood fantasy, straight out of James Bond or Star Wars.

Yes, I do believe the Illuminati is real, but not everything you hear about them on the internet is accurate. Not all conspiracy theories are real, but it might surprise you how many have some validity to them.
The Illuminati are more likely a higher secret echelon above Freemasonry. These are the people that are "in the know" which can be rounded up to very prominent bankers and essential politicians. They set all the policies for the UN and plan out certain global events before they happen, as it could aid in their agenda.
The music industry is usually brought up in Illuminati discussion, but this is actually one of the false fronts. Yes, they practically own the music industry, but to say celebrities and musicians are prominent members of the Illuminati is just wishful thinking. Most celebrities don't have a say on what symbols get added to their music videos, they are bound by contacts to perform while giving away most of their rights. The music industry feeds off of them and it's really those at top position, likevthe CEOs that are closer to being affiliated with the Illuminati, but a lot of the times they're just following orders.
The Illuminati are more likely the super rich. The whole banking structure and fractional reserve policy makes the country subservient to its money supply, and this is how they rule the country, not through politics, but economics. Their money gives them the power they need over all businesses, the media, as well as buying off the politicians through "contributions to campaign funds", which is a legal way of saying "bribery."
The United States has been broke for decades and has since sold off shares of government agencies, which give the super rich power over these agencies, allowing them to further compartmentalize factions within the government. This includes the FDA and other organizations that are supposed to hold regulation over the things we eat. They're allowed to classify vitamins as drugs and reduce the amount put in our foods while pushing through slow-killing poisons like aspertame into diet soft drinks and gum.
They hold a monopolization over the pharmaceutical industry, rejecting any and all herbal treatments and hiding cures for various diseases that they will only secretly distribute amongst themselves while the rest of us need to pay symptom suppressors that does nothing to cure our elms.
Devil worshipping is another overly exaggerated claim. It's not done as often, but I'm sure there are a few rich guys who feel their above the law and willing to involved in some weird stuff.
The Illuminati banksters are also heavily dependent on the oil industry as that is a great source of revenue for big businesses, so it shouldn't be too surprising to know that alternative forms of fuel have been discovered and suppressed. Cars have been around for over 100 years now and we're still heavily dependent on fossil fuels. Slowly it's changing because it has to, but they're going to hold onto petroleum as long as possible, since that is what gives our money any value at all.
And then we have the media, which is a corporate whore. Freedom of the press no longer exists as it's all owned by a handful of conglomerates that put just a few people in key positions to make the decision on what stories will and won't get reported on. They can make sure important discoveries never see the light of day while constantly distracting people with whatever stupid thing the president says. They'll ignore the stories of bank managers arrested for pedophilia or embezzling millions of dollars of public funds and give us an article of why toothpaste and Orange juice go bad together. They decide what information we're allowed to hear. That's why they're such a secret.
