I am doing a aquarium cycle with fish in the tank. Worried about ammonia spikes in the middle of the night when I am asleep?

What can I do to protect the fish?

You need to be using Seachem Prime. It neutralizes the ammonia for 48 hours so it cant harm the fish.

You also need to be monitoring nitrites because those are just as harmful as ammonia.

First do your water change and then add Zeolite to your filter and 1 tblspoon of aquarium salt per every 10 gallons of water. Stop feeding for 3 days.  It works wonders for ammonia.

Put seachem prime in the tank every night.
