I just set up a new aquarium and there is what looks like a white algae growing on the bottom, how do I get rid of it?

White algae is caused by too much light and improper nutrients. It is very common. Especially in new tanks when you newly cycle an aquarium. Perform water changes and keep the filter clean. Reducing the amount of light also helps.
