"Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise" (Proverbs 20:1, KJV).

(By the same token, "medicinal marijuana" is just as much a humongous lie--Revelation 18:23, KJV.)

No, it doesn't help your health, it's actually a depressant. It's cultural only.

Any doctor can tell you 10 harms it does.

Alcohol does nothing to help your heart there is a chemical in wine called reversitol which is good for your heart but you don't need to drink alcohol in order to get it. Alcohol is a cumulative poison and there is no cumulative poison that is good for your body

No. The consumption of alcohol is actually not recommended by the American heart association

Alcohol is a nerve toxin - it does not have anything to do good in the body.

It wont do any harm occasionally but it wont help with cholesterol and too much alcohol will damage your liver, that's like saying if I only smoke 2 cigarettes 3 times per week will it help my heart and prevent lung cancer.

No, it doesn't work that way.  First of all, 80% of the cholesterol in your body is produced by your liver -- not by what you eat.  If you eat a "heavy" meal -- large portions of carbohydrates, red meat, and extra fats -- you're not eating a healthy meal and your body will suffer the consequences -- a couple glasses of wine isn't going to help.  Neither will a couple glasses of high sugar soft drinks.

Some studies have indicated a positive benefit for heart health from moderate drinking.  Heavy drinking however has been linked to severe cognitive decline.  Joe Biden's frequent confusion, for example, is likely cause by years of excessive alcohol consumption.
