Does getting an MRI without contrast reveal brain tumors?
I got an MRI last week of my brain and it came back negative but I am panicking because the neurologist ordered for no contrast. I hear no contrast won't show a brain tumor. Is this true?

Only your doctor knows why they didn't order an MRI with no contrast, but a contrast is not always necessary.
Also, the MRI alone itself can show if there are tumors or not. No need to panic.

Yes. Brain tumors show up on x rays.

No contrast showed the mass in my head, turned out not to be cancer but it still picked it up.

So, you are saying you had a brain scan but nothing developed?
