When you take a semester off, there IS no tuition... there will be no financial aid because financial aid is for enrolled students.

    “FAFSA” doesn’t cover anything.

A FAFSA is simply an APPLICATION FORM used by the Dept of Education to analyze your financial situation, to determine for what federally-based aid you are ELIGIBLE. They send this eligibility info to the school.

The SCHOOL decides what aid to offer you. This includes federal, state-level aid, private aid, loans, scholarships, and work-study jobs (if you are eligible).

YOU decide what aid to accept, or to decline.

Therefore, you need to talk to a financial adviser AT YOUR SCHOOL.

You will have to re-apply for Federal aid when you want to return to school. You have to apply every year for Federal aid, anyway.

FAFSA is just an application for aid.  It is not an organization and doesn't give you any money.

Your financial aid package comes from your school.  You would need to talk to the Financial Aid office there about your options.

FAFSA is only a form that you fill out. The financial aid comes from the college. You need to talk to the financial aid office at your school about whether your financial aid will be reinstated.
