My brand new Samsung a10e has a bad headphone jack?

I have to hold the plug in because it will not stay all the way in and I don't get the sound out of both speakers.  I am using standard ear buds and I don't think they are defective.  Is this a common problem?  Should I take the phone back?

    If the plug won't stay in, the headphone jack is either larger than the plug you are using or broken. So take the brand new phone back to where you bought it to exchange it or confirm you are using the correct plug in for the jack.

      OMG I am so stupid!  I wasn't pushing it in all the way!  You have to really push it in.

    If it's brand new, then the answer is a no-brainer: yes, take it back. You have a warranty for this very reason!
