Is it true that the Russians do not consider beer to be an alcoholic drink ??

    Not anymore. ''Beer was legally classified as an alcoholic drink in Russia in 2011, after former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed the bill. It used to be considered a soft drink by many but attitudes are changing particularly amongst the younger generations.

    Not sure about Russia and beer but ..  I know that the French do not consider wine to be an alcoholic drink, because I live there.
