Is it true that the Russians do not consider beer to be an alcoholic drink ??

Not anymore. ''Beer was legally classified as an alcoholic drink in Russia in 2011, after former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed the bill. Not sure about Russia and beer but .. I know that the French do not consider wine to be an alcoholic drink, because I live there.
