Why is there alot of character men who play the role of Sheriffs Deputys in US tv series?

usually involving a romance with woman characters. Usually theyre the only ones in the sheriffs office or theres 1 or 2 other deputys there. Not really realistic in my opinion.

In the US, Sheriffs are an elected law enforcement position which operates on the county level.  TV and movies often treat them as operating at the town level, which is, more properly, the "Chief of Police".  But the term "Sheriff" has a lot of history associated with it as it was a common one used in Western films, which established them as lawmen.  It also instantly distinguishes a character as a cop, whereas "Chief" could mean many things.

There was a show called she’s the sheriff where a female is the sheriff.

There are just more male sheriffs than females. It wasn’t that long ago when females weren’t allowed to serve in the front line in war.

I'm assuming the asker is talking about the small department -- not the lack of female deputies.
