What do you think happens to our souls when we die?

The Bible says, the body goes down into the grave to rot when it dies, but we ourselves - (the very soul of us never dies because we are made in God's image who is Spirit John 4:24) - so we - our inner man of the spirit, leaves our body as that which is corrupt dies & goes back to dust, and it (the spirit) returns to God who gave it. (Ecclesiastes 12:7) for it is appointed unto man once to die and after this comes the judgement. (Hebrews 9:27)

I already have personal experience in this since I have had an out of body experience 40 years ago, the best I can say is, this world is like some virtual reality experience and when you seem like you have reached the end of that life, its like stepping from one room of your home into another room, very seamless in nature, and very peaceful...OK now what happens after that? you get the joy of reviewing the experience and learning about your emotions and how your decisions in life played a role from the emotional level, but then you integrate back into the oneness from where you came, and you ultimately learn that this life experience on Earth is a lesson on forgiveness, and its not easy because we invented something called an ego that we think is our greater mind, but its actual our greatest crutch...you are much more than you can begin to fathom but your ego restrains you by fear of the unknown, but the crazy thing is, you know it, but you've given in to the ego's interpretation.

All human souls die because they have all inherited sin from the first man, Adam, who became a sinner by disobeying God. And the Bible says: “The wages of sin is death.” (Romans 5:12; 6:23, KJ) So at death, the soul, the sense-possessing person, dies.

Information on what happens to our invisible being is in the Bible in Psalm 146:4 & 49:15. Then, in Hebrews 12:22-24 we learn of "the spirits of righteous men made perfect" in heavenly Jerusalem. But I've detected 9 Jehovah's Witness answers here. Their favorite cherry-picked verse to claim that the invisible part dies at death, that we cease to exist, is Ecclesiastes 9:5. Not one of them balances that with Eccl. 12:5-7, the conclusion of the matter where the inspired author shows that it's only the physical body that dies while the spirit returns to God who gave it - then comes judgment, the accounting for how we lived in the body. See Hebrews 9:27, Philippians 1:20-24 & 3:14 & 20-21 also 2 Corinthians 5:8.

absolutely nothing because there is not proof or evidence of a 'soul'. When you die, you cease to exist. That's it. Lights out. Kaput. End of story. Again, there is no proof or evidence to even suggest something happens to you.

They are judged by God, and allowed to proceed to the place their human beings have freely chosen - Heaven or Hell.

The soul leaves your body and goes either to heaven or hell depending on your beliefs

They cease to exist. The soul is the living being, body and spirit together. The body is processed according to law and custom; the spirit ideally goes to Paradise to be perfected and await the resurrections and final judgment.

We ARE souls, so when our soul (or us) dies, we no longer exist. That's it.
