Obviously, for many people who HAVE indoor pets, they can keep them sanitary, healthy and active.

My house was like a menagerie and sanctuary for all sorts of animals, never affected anyones health. Just don't PO the porcupine.

Yes, I have heard that the heart rate and blood pressure of a herpetologist drops when he/she is holding a pet snake. The same is probably true for an ordinary person who is petting his/her cat or dog.

Yes, with two caveats:  Don't let him or her sleep on your bed (EWW), and not if you're allergic to that animals dander.
