What spider could this be?
It’s pretty big, maybe about 2 inches
The entire body was black
The abdomen was brown
No spots anywhere
Legs are kinda thin
Legs are black and lighter at the ends
No stripes on legs
Abdomen was pretty round and not long
Is was not hairy so I do not think it’s a tarantula
If it helps I saw it late at night, and it’s been raining out. Also I am in SoCal
I took some pics but it was dark out and my flash is broken so they’re not great
I tried upping the brightness with photo editor

That is one of the trap door spiders, Yea, a bit like a hairless tarantula.
Both Infraorder Mygalomorphae.
Common for them to get washed from their home in rain. This being autumn, males are wandering looking for mates.
SoCal,,this might be a California trap door spider, or one other common to coastal California.
Unlike docile tarantulas you have, these are a bit quick to set of defensively and bites are a bit painful. People do keep them though, even handling.
