Is election day in Canada, 1 day?

Do they have 1 day to vote?

    Yes, the pooling stations are opened for 12 hours, which are not simultaneous due to the time zones. When they close (at the time of this writing; some in the Atlantic provinces are closed already) each riding counts the votes and that is it.

    That said, there was advanced voting available for 4 days one week ago, for those who had a reason to consider not being able to vote on the election day proper.
