Should the Federal government sue the state of Nevada for not abiding by the 1987 Nuclear Waste Policy Act amendment?

    No. They should just fine the state, and the persons directly responsible - fine them and criminally prosecute.

    What? Don't you think the Fed's would be responsible for dealing with and abatement of such waste - after all, it was the FEDS that used Nevada as a test site for decades. Think Uncle Sam owes Nevadans, not the other way around.

      Nevadans should be proud of their contribution to making the U.S the most powerful country in the world. Nevada has always been the place of uranium. Nothing to be ashamed of.

    Nevada DID NOT do what you claim.

    In fact, it is the Federal government that handles the waste in quesrtion.

      You're saying the Federal government violated their own law? At the Federal level, Nevada doesn't have enough votes to screw over the rest of the country. Therefore, the sole blames lies at the state and local level.
