Silverfish. It's one of the oldest varieties of insect in existence, predating pretty much everything but fish, even older than cockroaches.

They're harmless. They can't hurt you. But if you have them around, make sure you aren't getting any damage to your books. They eat rotting wood, starches and sugars, and books.

They will crawl in your ear and drive you insane. Watch the Star Trek movie Wrath of Kahn to see them in action.

Harmful insects are the species that cause damage to humans and their livestock, crops and possessions worldwide. Some are direct pests in that they attack.

That is a silverfish.  Harmless, makes one wonder how they fit into the scheme of things to exist. Flush down the commode.

    That is called a silverfish.

    Latin is lepisma saccharina.

They are harmless. Seeing them is usually a sign that you aren’t keeping things clean enough.

It's harmless. Simply scoop it up on a piece of paper and put it outside. If you're too nervous to do that, the vacuum cleaner is your friend.

It's called an earwig. It is pretty much a harmless insect.
