Are bigger vehicles more prone to transmission problems?

    Bigger, heavier vehicles often get transmissions that are stronger

    You've got to change the fluid in them about every 60k miles (check the manual) and be sure the fluid doesn't leak out.  Current body for fiesta and focus have CVTs that have bad reputations.

    No, but they do tend to be more expensive to repair.

    Not necessarily. There are many smaller vehicles out there with the CVT transmission that is junk

    all depends on use. abuse them they won't last long

    It really depends on the build

    Like Allison, if you abuse that tranny

    She wont last long

    Not usually, they're built with the right transmission for the job.

    Not really, but they definitely hurt more when you get rammed in the áss by them.
