Harris, no-one will listen to me or believe me, but Buttigieg could. And he would be good. It would knock the sox off the Republicans worse than when Obama was elected. Pete is an intelligent, thoughtful and soft-spoken man, and would have many intelligent and intelligible things to say had he the nomination. Opposing a demagogue so conceited that he thinks a president should be allowed to rule unhampered by all of this Constitution bull, showing with what insincerity he took his oath of office, and demanding personal loyalty to himself like a dictator. Pete Buttigieg would win the popular vote and Trump would have to coerce the tiny Electoral College again into overriding the decision of the American people.

We're still early in the election but as of now the polls all show that all of the Democrats would beat Donald Trump. I know that Trump supporters like to disregard the polls but they shouldn't for two reasons. First, the national level polls were pretty accurate in 2016. The final batch had Clinton beating Trump by about 2%, which is about what she beat him by in the popular vote. The idea that the polls were wrong is based on the fact that some of the state level polls were wrong and the national level polls were unable to predict that Trump's geographic distribution of support would allow him to win the electoral college while losing the popular vote. The other reason that Trump supporters, and others, shouldn't dismiss these polls is because they're all saying the same thing. In 2016, Trump supporters dismissed repeated polling showing that Trump was unpopular by claiming that these were all "biased" polls which were being put out with inaccurate numbers in order to harm the Trump campaing/boost Clinton's campaign. But you can't make that argument in this case, because a couple weeks ago someone leaked internal Trump campaign polls. The campaign confirmed that the leak was real. What's significant is that the internal Trump polls confirmed the public polls' conclusion that Trump would lose to just about all the Democrats. Significantly, they even offered similar margins of victory for the various democrats (most notably that Joe Biden would beat Trump by around 10 points). These are polls which Trumps people conducted for internal campaign use and so there's no reason for them to massage the results to favor Democrats. That suggests that the public polls are accurate.

Currently a Rumba that only vacuums in circles is a head of Trump. A toaster that only burns toast to a crisp is just behind Trump.

Considering that he was not elected by a majority, many of them could win the popular vote,

but, that does not win elections in the US as we saw in 2016.

The way he was elected or any other president for that matter is the law of the land.. positive representation. So unless you change the law..that's how it would be. Was a Democratic government that made that law. So live with it!
